Higher-order functions in JavaScript are functions that can take other functions as arguments or return functions as their result. They are a powerful tool that can be used to write more concise and reusable code.

Some examples of higher-order functions in JavaScript include:

  • map()
  • filter()
  • reduce()
  • sort()
  • forEach()
  • every()
  • some()

These functions can be used to iterate over arrays, apply a function to each element, and return a new array, object, or value.

For example, the map() function can be used to double the values in an array:
